Dentures and replacement teeth in Shropshire
Dentures in Cleobury Mortimer
Here at Cleobury Dental Practice, we provide high quality dentures in Shropshire and Worcestershire to replace missing teeth.
What are dentures?
Dentures are a removable device worn in the mouth to replace some, or all, missing teeth. Losing your teeth can have a damaging effect on your enjoyment of food, socialising and self confidence. Having a denture may be a cost effective solution to complete your smile or a great alternative when implants cannot be placed.
Dentures are made of acrylic or metal. At Cleobury Dental Practice, we also provide flexible acrylic dentures for a snug fit against the gums.
Dentures can be supported by dental implants to give a firmer fit and even more confidence when chewing and speaking.
What types of dentures are there?
Dentures can replace either the whole arch of teeth (complete dentures) or just some of the teeth (partial dentures).
The materials from which a denture can be made are acrylic or metal. Metal dentures are thinner, lighter and stronger. At Cleobury Dental Practice, our flexible acrylic dentures are particularly popular. The flexible material allows it to adapt to the gums and teeth more tightly, giving even more comfort.
Are dentures my only option?
Your dentist can discuss alternatives such as bridges and implants. Unlike dentures, both of these options are fixed which means they behave similar to natural teeth.
